Parish Life Ministry
Buildings & Grounds: An advisory group which makes semi-annual assessments of maintenance and repair needs of the parish plant and facilities. Contact: Deacon John Corson (825-0618).
Celebration of Culture: Strives to build unity in diversity in our parish family and in the community. Volunteers help plan and promote multi-cultural events such as Our Lady of Guadalupe. Contact: Lena Spath (825-0532).
God's Houskeepers: Cleaning teams work weekly to clean the church and gathering space. Contact: Mary Lou Hartman (741-8742) or Carolyn Simmermeyer (825-9473).
Commentary: The "Corpus Christi Commentary" is a newsletter published 3-4 times each year. The primary goal of the Commentary is to keep parishioners informed of events in the parish and to give recognition to parishioners, both young and old, for their many accomplishments.
Finance Council: The Finance Council serves the Community of Corpus Christi on a regular basis by reviewing the financial needs necessary to maintain the Parish. The Council, by overseeing the assets and maintaining the financial stability of the parish, provides the membership the ability to worship and continue to spread the Good News of the Gospel through the various parish ministries. Fund Raising: Volunteers set up surveys and other events to help meet the financial needs of our Parish. Help is needed to contact parishioners for the various surveys throughout the year, as well as identifying potential fundraisers. This is an opportunity to become acquainted with parishioners as well as a means of ministry. Contact: Kathie Vallandingham (742-2101).
Library: The library is located in the Parish Center Dining Room and makes available to parishioners a collection of resources (books, DVDs audio cassettes, and video cassettes) for spiritual growth, education, and fun! Library hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12 Noon and 1:00-5:00 p.m. Friday hours are 8:30 a.m. to 12 Noon. Contact Joyce Swallow (729-1715).
Outdoor Nativity: Assist with set-up of the Outdoor Nativity scene in mid-Advent. The Outdoor Nativity scene is removed following the Christmas season. Contact: Tom Gilbert (825-0507).
Pastoral Council: Pastoral Council advises the Pastor on administrative and policy making procedures, and also assesses Parish needs and helps implement programs to better meet those needs. It serves as a channel of communication among the total Parish community. Pastoral Council meets six times a year or as necessary on the first Monday of the scheduled month at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Center. Stewardship Committee: Volunteers develop, plan and co-ordinate the Annual Stewardship Campaign. This committee interacts with Pastor and Pastoral Staff. Contact: Parish Office (825-0618).
Upkeep of Buildings and Grounds: Volunteers help maintain parish grounds and buildings and assist with other special projects. Contact: Bruce Niebling (825-0618)
